Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga

Aqua life Fitness offers Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga.  It’s a total body workout that lets you relax and unwind while coasting alongside dolphins, sea life and fish. Navarre Florida offers you one of the most beautiful coastlines around for stand-up paddle (SUP). Aqua Life Fitness is not only here to change the way you look, but also the way you feel. SUP works almost every muscle of the body, especially the core. Paddle Board Yoga is more than a recreational activity, it’s a healthy lifestyle built out of respect for the environment and pushing yourself to achieve new highs.

Never had the opportunity to do yoga on the water? Paddle Board Yoga is the only place where you can experience waves of zen! It’s time to live your best life. Our instructor is trained, insured, and CPR certified to safely give you the best time on the water possible. Easier than surfing, stand up paddle is an activity that everyone can do. And just as a warning, it’s highly addictive!  We believe it’s the best workout out there because it works every muscle from your toes to your nose. It is an absolute joy to witness people overcoming their fears and getting out in the ocean. You may be a little scared at first, but once you are in the ocean, you will be amazed how easy and liberating SUPing is.

Bring your yoga practice to the water: Grab a paddle board and practice your favorite yoga poses while attempting to balance on your board. Stand Up Paddle board, otherwise known as SUP Yoga is now offered by Patricia Dittrick at Aqua Life Fitness here in Navarre. So, it’s about time you changed up your yoga routine and environment. Here are five reasons why you should take your mat and onto a board.

Improve your Balance: Added factors such as water current can change your balance and your focus. The element of moving water will require you to engage additional muscle stabilizers and maintain an enhanced focus on the present.

Strengthen Your Core: As you stand and paddle, the engagement of your core is required to keep you steady and moving through the water. Using the paddle board as your mat will bring a whole new meaning to your boat pose.

Overcome Fear: We have all experienced the fear of falling while moving into inversions and arm balances. As you improve your balance and engage your core, you will become stronger and hopefully a little braver as you try poses on your board that you might have mastered previously on your steady mat. Added Bonus: If you fall, you land in the water and cool off!

Get outdoors:  Even if there are clouds, the sun is always shining! Add some Vitamin D into your day. The change of scenery will be a great addition to your practice. Make a day of it and take a picnic lunch. After your practice, watch the water and breathe in the fresh air, allowing it to invigorate and calm you.

Have Fun! Changing how and where you practice yoga is a great opportunity to meet new people and bring some excitement to your daily routine. Look for fish or maybe even a dolphin. Jump or fall off your board and take a swim. Remember, it’s only yoga!
